Australia has committed to 30 by 30 – a global promise where countries have pledged to ensure 30% of the Earth’s lands and seas are protected by 2030. This is the planet’s best chance of saving nature, so people and wildlife have a good future.
The problem is we’re not spending nearly enough on making 30 by 30 happen – just 0.1% of the federal budget is currently spent on protecting Australia’s unique wildlife and landscapes.
